Hello all,
I was doing some smd solder work on a graphics card and knocked off one of the memory capacitors, at least that's what I think it is. It dropped off the table when I was trying to solder it back on and I cannot find it so I need to replace. The card is a Radeon 6850, memory type is GDDR5. The picture shows the capacitor location. Any ideas of what the value is so that I can replace it? It is labelled C2743. CAM00450.jpg . Click on thumbnail for full size image. Many thanks.

Hi, hard to said what the capacitor value was, however you can go for something in the 100nF-1µF range without risk.
To be noted that ceramic capacitors are very reliable compared to semiconductors, statically speaking not the best candidate to spot so.

Forgot to report back. The 100nf capacitor got the card up and running again. The true value is probably larger but no problems so far since I am not using the card for anything heavy i.e. no gaming. Many thanks!
