    Vibration motor

Recently purchased a lot of ten vibration coin motors for the iPhone 4s. The part number on the motors is 1037s1 a151. Try as I might, I can't find any data on the voltage or amp load these can take. The seller didn't know either. I've already burned out two experimenting with numbers for...

    I would appreciate any input

The intent of the attached circuit is to create a portable device that outputs a steady 2mA to electrodes that will be applied to the skin. I have an LED to indicate the battery is working and an ammeter to tell me what the exact current is. The ammeter runs off a separate power source and...

To shunt or not to shunt?

That's pretty much the question. Bought a DC, panel mount ammeter off eBay. The current I'll be using is only 2 to 3 mA. Here is the listing, which is all the info I have on it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/390605474335?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 So, do I need a...

    Anode vs. Cathode

Okay, here's another question that will show just what a newbie I am in electronics. I'm looking at a circuit where it is VERY important to know which output is cathodal and which is anodal. For background, I'm researching medical uses of trans-cranial direct current stimulation as an...

    Wanted: milliammeter

I'm looking for a small, panel-mountable, digital display ammeter that can be easily wired into an existing circuit with a range between 0 and 20mA. Anyone know where I can get one cheap? Can't find them anywhere. I'd also appreciate even a schematic for how to build one. Thanks

    Current Flow and Component Placement

I have a very basic (I hope) question. In a simple circuit, say, battery + resistor + lamp, and the lamp needs a very specific current, does it matter if the resistor is on the anode side or the cathode side of the lamp?

    Looking to buy.

What I need is an ammeter circuit that I can mount in a box and just solder right in line with other components. Must have a simple, easy to read, digital read out and be able to measure between .5mA and 3mA. That's the basic info. This is a safety feature for a larger project. Any takers...

    Resistor Question

I know this is a simple thing but being new to electronics I have been banging my head. I'm trying to power three 10mm LEDs (3.5v, 20mA) with two AA Batteries. I found this equation online... R=(VS-VL)/I I plug in the values R=(3v - 3.5v)/.02amps I get a resistor value of -25...

    Solder Rash?

Over the last few days I've spent a lot of time desoldering from old boards. Yesterday I noticed that the skin on my face was red and irritated. I did some research and found some indication that solder fumes can do this. Has anyone else ever had this happen? Just looking for some...

    Getting PCBs made

I would appreciate recommendations for where I might get one-off boards made to spec. Ideally the company would have ease of order, good turn around time, and reasonable pricing. Thanks.
