Waves of sound through the galaxy interfere with each other

Well when I look at those pictures of the electrons falling onto a pattern
it reminds me of gravity and the way particles from the sun hit the earth
and make patterns on the poles and such.

Remember this experiment is done on earth.

So maybe gravity plays a roll and can explain the patterns.

Maybe they should send the device into space where maybe no or almost no
gravity is and then see what happens :)

Bye,
Skybuck.

I ment it like this:

Suppose you place 3 lamps in your house, and connect them to computers.

Each lamp is flickering on and off, or maybe even slighty stronger, slightly
weaker, to encode information.

Because the light from the lamps could hit your detector at the same time,
it becomes impossible to decode the information ?

Which bit of information came from which lamp ?

It is important to seperate the bits from information.

Otherwise you'll get a mixed signal and that's bad.

So the idea is to place detectors and different locations.

Because the distance to each lamp is different, the light will hit the
different detectors at different times.

Then look for patterns or calculations to figure it out/seperate them.

Bye,
Skybuck.

First, it's "If I were a pig". Not "was".
(The past subjunctive is used after the conjunction if in a contrary-
to-fact protasis.)

Second: Pigs don't have utters.

-mpm

Wrong. "If I were a pig" would refer to current tense.

I made no such reference.

Second, the term would be udders, you utter idiot.

That is probably what happened to your brain, since it weighed no more
than a couple of Helium molecules.

Whatever you say, SkyPig.

did you notice in the High Voltage Switch thread that AlwaysWrong linked
to the company he works (or more likely worked) for.

perhaps annoyed SED users could email www.hitekpower.com (e.g. thru
[email protected] or [email protected] )

and ask that they track down said employee, and get him to cease and
desist. After all, he makes it look like:

- they hire sociopaths (so dont work there)

- and if he really is a designer (I doubt it, more like a disgruntled
tech with delusions of grandeur) then their products are probably not
worth considering.

Hopefully he posts to SED from work. In which case, he will end up
regretting posting those hitekpower links.

heck, maybe someone could out him :)

What, shut down our group buffoon, the s.e.d. punching bag? All heroes
need idiot sidekicks, and he's so good at that.

Seriously, I don't think this sort of "real life" retaliation is a
good idea.

You're wrong on the first, and the second was just to see if you were
paying attention, and/or had any hope of redemption.

That is probably what happened to your brain, since it weighed no more

You do realize that "mass" and "weight" are separate things? Right?

Also, Helium is monatomic, so you would more properly say "Helium
atoms", not "Helium molecules".

hilarious.

what, you dont think actions should have consequences?

DimBulb clearly knows he is out of line, as he hides behind
ever-morphing idiotic pseudonyms.

however linking to the company was a particularly stupid move,
suggesting his publicly displayed idiocy is only the tip of the iceberg.

lets flip this around - duality is a powerful technique. If an employee
of your company behaved like AlwayWrong on usenet, then started dropping
links to your products in the middle of rants, how would you feel? would
you consider that to be good publicity?

If it were my company, I would be very unhappy.

Cheers
Terry

A newsgroup isn't "actions", it's banter. And ng personna may well be
different from real-life personalities. I'd assume that, like prize
fighters, the battle should only happen in the arena. Besides, being
mean is just mean.

If he ever asked for help with a serious electronic problem, I'd be
glad to help him. And if I had, say, a high-voltage packaging problem,
I'd welcome his advice.

Dunno. I've never hired anyone that dumb. I did have one guy who spun
a lot of his work towards personal projects, and kept inviting
good-looking female reps in so he could hit on them. And another *big*
guy who tackled me mid-body after a full run across the room. They're
not here now.

how many times has dimmy offerred to meet & thump other posters? on a
regular basis.

therein lies the rub.

and I cant really see any difference between, say, talking to ISPs about
abusive posters, and talking to the company they work for.

Also, isnt a "real" newsgroup like SED "real life" anyway? plenty of you
guys have met up for wine, food, beer & electronics discussion. If I was
closer, I would too.

Cheers
