Panasonic vcr error F05

Panasonic NV HD670A vcr.

The tape wont come out when i press eject.
It sounds like its trying to eject it, but then the vcr shuts down
with "f05" displayed.

Suspect split collar on the loading motor drive shaft (inside the worn
gear). Could also have cracked slide lever assy.

F05 is a mech fault

entire mech will need to come out as the load motor is underneath the
mech (no bottom access through cabinet) - the trick is that there is a
screw which will now be under your stuck tape which has to be removed.

HINT- The tape can be extracted without damage.

The job is quite fiddly and there are other wear items to consider
while you have it apart.
