need help in writing driver to interface I2S with ALSA

Hi Everyone,
I am interfacing a Tuner with I2S output to a board running on linux, I was told to interface the I2S through ALSA Libraries , But I dont have any clue to proceed on this. Can anyone give me some general idea about this .
