Motion sensors for Napco Magnum Alert 1008e

hi guys, I need a few motion sensors for my system. What are your
recommendations for 2-wire motion sensors of decent quality, and what will
they cost?

Four wire motion detectors ............ yes
Even three wire motion detectors .......... rarely but ......... yes.
TWO wire motion detectors? Nope.

Uhhh........... You ........... asking that questions, leads me to say
........... I think you'd better hire someone to do it for you.

Actually, I saw some mention of 2-wire sensors on this group. 4-wire will
also work.

Everyone has their own preference with regard to manufacturers of motion
detectors. What anyone might tell you here ........... someone else will tell
you something different.

The question is what are your preferences,

What IS important for someone to know, is under what conditions the device will
be used. There are long range, short range. Pet alley, and pet immune. There
are Passive infrared and microwave and combinations of both. There are indoor
and out door. There are curtain and and ceiling mounted. 360 degree 180 degree
and 90 degree and that's not getting into the various adjustments that each of
the manufacturers provide. All of which will be considered by an installer,
depending upon where you want to use them and what you want to protect and
detect. The other very important item is where to mount the unit in your
building. There are certain things you should avoid, depending upon

conditions.

for indoor use, 0-20 feet, wall mount, probably 180 degrees. I have an
alarm guy who will install this, I'm just looking for your opinion on some
brands and model numbers that will work with the Napco.

That was probably a thread about 2-wire smoke detectors.

I've used a lot of Visonic K-980D dual tech motion detectors on my own jobs
and have had very few problems with them. Several regulars here also like
GE Security's RCR series detectors.

The Napco system can work with virtually any hard-wired motion detectors.
