Does anyone remember how to connect the LM334Z Constant Current Source (Temperature Sensor) to a MA1026 Clock/Thermometer module? I recently found the clock, transformer, and sensor that I had bought in 1982 but never used. When the clock module was connected, it worked great. I also found a list of connections to the module that I had hand written from somewhere, but how to connect the temperature sensor is unclear. Also, does anyone have a copy of a datasheet for the MA1026 that they could email me? I can’t find one anywhere on the internet.
Thanks, Glenn

MA1026

I happen to have an MA1026 clock/temp module with the original instructions. It was only connected up as a clock for a short time. If anyone is interested let me know.

Currently my MA1026 is connected also as a clock only and it works well. However, I have not been able to get the LM334Z Constant Current Source (Temperature Sensor) connected so that it works. I have the data sheet for the LM334Z and it shows the three leads on the LM334Z as follows: V+, V-, and R. The connections for the MA1026 that I think are applicable to the LM334Z are as follows: 5 & 6 Vdd (high 10VDC) which I assume should be connected to V+, 7 Temp Sensor, 8 Vss (low 12 VAC) which I assume should be connected to V-, and 20 Display Temp. I have tried connecting R various ways, but when connection 20 is shorted to connection 8 (which I assume to be ground), the temperature is displayed except it is wrong – as if the LM334Z is not connected at all. If you have any information on how the temperature sensor should be connected or if you have any ideas I could try, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Garth, I am interested in your MA1026. Contact me at grc1939(at)excite(dot)com. I was told my message was too short so I am making it longer.

Garth, I am interested in your MA1026. The web site will not let me give you my email address. Maybe you can look it up.
