Civility is not a leftist virtue; it is bourgeois and old-fashioned,
practiced by Christians, old farts, and similar non-progressives.

John

Idiots like you are the reason why despite us having all this great
electronic technology, and medical technology, etc. etc., we still cannot
stop killing each other.

Hey... I know! We could have one last kill session where we cull out
all the bad and are left only with "civil folk".

Ooops... hasn't that always been the goal as well as the reason?

The window of opportunity for mankind to have repaired their basic
faults died a couple thousand years ago when we killed The Son of God
himself.

We are destined to fail, and He is your ONLY salvation. All the rest is
diversion, temptation, and delusion.

The blind SHALL NOT see.

Or how about a New York Senator calling him a liar to his face in
public hearing?

My favorite was when La Guardia offered to do a study on the effects of
cannabis on society in NYC, and they were all behind him.

His report was in favor of its use, and stated that there was no harm
being done.

The report got buried, and cannabis got outlawed, and that is why your
kids do not get a good education today.

All the money gets spent on the "War on Drugs", and they persecute US
citizens to perpetuate the war and their living circumstance, and the
original target of the outlaw (southern border immigrants) ironically now
invade our border freely, with guns and criminal intent, carrying
armloads (truckloads) of much harder drugs to sell to your kids in an
illicit market that would not even exist had they not went about things
the way they did.

Cannabis is the most benign human inebriant in existence, and they
deride it, because it would mean admitting that they were wrong the whole
time.

Yet alcohol kills thousands a year on the highways, in domestic
violence, etc., and they would not get rid of that, because being the
accepted norm, that is THEIR choice of inebriant as well.

Fucking hypocrites, the whole lot.

You might be getting cause and effect mixed up with the
liberal/progressive tendencies. Perhaps it is the property of having a
broad education that makes one seem like a 'liberal'.

Naaaah! It's part of the mental defectiveness that thinks a label
(PhD) infuses intelligence.

Whereas Jim represents the kind of mental deficiency that fails to see
that it is kind of difficult to do the work required to get a Ph.D.
without having a fair measure of intelligence to start with - IQ tests
on people who have managed to get a Ph.D. suggest that they are pretty
much all drawn from that tail of the population with IQ's of 115 or
higher. Of course, once you've got over that threshold, your IQ-score
doesn't correlate to any significant extent with your subsequent
success.

Jim was once intelligent enough to qualify for membeship of Mensa,
which does go to show that the intelligence defined by IQ tests is a
rather narrowly applicable skill.

No. Radios, and the like.

I happen to believe in a pre-emptive defensive position.

I never said that I wasn't a participant, I merely stated the criteria
for salvation, and the reason why our circumstance is hopeless.

Sins of the flesh do not condemn you. Believing that they are not sins
will. That is why the blind shall not see. They do not think they are
doing anything wrong, and would never ask to be forgiven for their
worldly behavior.

I have, at times, wished that I could perch myself on top of a building
and shoot the gang boy retard "taggers" in the ass with a really powerful
pellet rifle when I spot them "tagging" some newly installed public item,
like a trash can or bus stop sign, or sidewalks, etc.

My own form of "tagging" I guess, but I see the idiots as dogs
attempting to mark "territory" they do not even own.

Sad, really.

I think it is their fucking parents that should have to pay for their
stupidity. Maybe then, we would have parents that keep their retarded
twit, gang boy retard kids indoors at night, instead of out with markers
and paint cans defacing the world around them, and deciding to escalate
their criminal intent as the years pass in their gang boy mentality.

Well that was a useless comparison. Marijuana slows responses too.
Obviously, anyone driving under its influence will suffer similar
consequences as those driving under alcohol's influence. Obviously, the
same "drunk driving" restrictions must be applied to marijuana as well, if
it is to be legalized.

Ah, the old classic out of context one liner quote, snip the rest, and
go zinging off on an unrelated topic.

The merits, or not, of any particular policy, and that includes your
opinions on drug use, have nothing to do with the topic I was
discussing, which was the means by which policy is 'debated'.

His report was in favor of its use, and stated that there was no harm
being done.

The report got buried, and cannabis got outlawed, and that is why your

All the money gets spent on the "War on Drugs",

Factually untrue, as even a most careless perusal of the budget would
reveal.

I believe statistics show that the U.S. spends more, per student , on
both primary and secondary education than any other country, and by a
rather hefty margin.

citizens to perpetuate the war and their living circumstance, and the

The harder drugs are not being smuggled in because cannabis is
illegal; the harder ones are illegal too.

Cannabis is the most benign human inebriant in existence, and they
deride it, because it would mean admitting that they were wrong the whole
time.

I guess you missed prohibition in history class.
because being the
accepted norm, that is

Might have something to do with it having been in continuous use since
before recorded history and the fact one does not 'have' to get
falling down inebriated in order to enjoy a glass of wine with dinner.
THEIR choice of inebriant as well.

Fucking hypocrites, the whole lot.

Only if one presumes the supreme goal is to become inebriated.
