Where to Obtain Wired Screening?

My home has most of the window screens connected to my security system. The
screens appear to be black aluminum with about 5 wires running verically
through them. At the bottom of the screen is a lead for a connector to the
security system.

A couple of these screens have holes in them, and I'd like to get some new
screening material to replace them. Where can I find the wired screening
material?

Thanks in advance,

Rob

If you're anywhere in New England, try Safe-Vue Security Screens in
Cranston, Rhode Island. Ask for Chuck McCarthy. Here's their number.
401-946-3340. They do excellent work. I don't know for certain but I
suppose he will also sell you materials if you ask. There is a bit of skill
involved in making a reliable alarm screen. If you're good with tools and
have patience you can do a decent job. If not, you can box up the screen
and send it to them. They'll repair it and ship it back.

You're such an asshole, Bass... The wire used in a typical good quality alarm
screen is 32 gauge. You need special wire strippers to handle it as well as a
great deal of skill and training to properly terminate the wire in the frame so
it's protected from corrosion, etc. You've gotta be a number one grade "A" jerk
to even suggest the average homeowner (let alone someone good with tools) would
even know how to properly finish an alarm screen...
