If pulling the heat shrink covering for inspection, you would find the windings nestled down
within a " dumbell " ferrite core.
For enhancement of its magnetic coercivity-efficiency- Q, there is being a strong ceramic button
magnet bonded on its far end.
If this was found in an older CRT based television / monitor I would more likely suspect this to be
utilized in the systems horizontal deflection circuitry, RATHER THAN in its power supply circuitry.
