    Hi!
I found an old variable capacitor and I would like to know its capacitance. I don't have a capacimeter, so it's not that easy. I noticed that there's something written in the capacitor, "25Y", but that's all I know.
Any ideas on how to find the capacitance?

    Thank you.

    Hi pccrp,
    I couldn't find anything on the 25y.
You might be better to purchase a cheap £8 Ebay ESR kit and try it out.

If you post a picture, someone may be able to hazzard a guess. Include a ruler.
