Sanyo dvd video player model:JCX-AVD8501

Sanyo dvd video player with built in amp/speaker output
model:JCX-AVD8501,year:May 2001.When eject button is pressed the VF
display reads "Ejecting" but no eject and no dvd laser movement either
laser,slave or spindle.
I checked fuses,v.regs and low ohms resistors and no problems and this
unit has tons of parts so before I spend hours troubleshooting does
anyone have any common repair tips for such a problem?.Thanks in
advance.

You might try physically turning a motor gear or some such to move the laser
along it's sled, or open the tray. Then turn it ON and see if the motor
runs. If so, the micro is OK and just trying to do what it's supposed to. If
not, maybe a power supply voltage is missing. There is a small chance the
micro is hung on an initialization routine, but I wouldn't think so at this
point.

I need value for R4105 as I just found out that IC403=KIA7809A=9 Volt
reg is missing it's input voltage so R4105 which is a 1/4 watt (I
think) fuseable is open and cannot read value.I connected an external
12v to the input of IC403 and the reg is regulating so everything must
be fine,what would cause that resistor to open?.Thanks in advance.

Try a low value - 10 ohms or less, maybe down to one ohm. It's open for a
reason though - maybe the regulator is bad, or maybe a shorted spindle
motor.
