PhotoDiode Polarize

Hi,
I am some information of how to polarize a Photodiode. I would like
of knowing which the best current than it should pass through him. I see in
many circuits the values of resistors among 10 Kohms and 1 Mohms, and the
manufacturers don't leave that very clear.

The "best" set up depends on several factors, including the linearity
requirements (Do you want to measure total light energy accurately, or
find some signal frequency in the light?), the frequency response you
require, and even the color of the light (Green light produces a
slightly faster response than infrared). Tell us more about your
application.
