Wow sounds like a tropical paradise. I cant go outside without
throwing a parka on,mitts and boots. Currently -8C and sunny.

I don't know why my ancestors came here from Italy. Having visited the
nice towns on the Adriatic and the nice half naked women on the
beaches and the nice weather, I really wonder why?:)

I'm here on the Côte d'Azur and it is snowing, since lunchtime already 7cm
of snow, extraordinary.

I spent 8 years in Europe. My father served with the Canadian Military
and was posted there twice. I rarely seen any snow in the winter the
whole time I was there unless we went skiing in the Alp's. This was in
Baden Solingen and Lahr. One place we went frequently skiing was
Bevier Austria (wrong spelling).

I travelled all over there playing hockey and on family trips I guess
I was pretty lucky. I do miss the Autobahn though:).

We used to go to Rimini every summer, nice town.

ciao from Canada

I spent a lot of time in Germany (1992-1994, IIRC), every few months,
summer and winter, in a town in the Black Forest, Bühlertal (about
100km NE of Freiberg, 100km west of Stuttgart).

My remembrances are mosquitoes in the summer, colder than a witch's
tits in winter, with lots of ice and snow.

My father was stationed in Baden Solingen and we did get some snow on
the order of a couple centimeters every once and a while during the
winter. It was more like winters on the west coast Rain , rain and
more rain.

It is defiantly nothing like here. Though I must admit since Elnino we
haven't been getting as much snow as we used to. The way it started
this year I thought we were going to be in for a brutal winter but we
haven't had much snow since Christmas.

I've gone fishing for the pickerel opening season late May long
weekend and been dumped on with a foot of snow. Some years winter just
doesn't want to piss off. :)

It's been _really_ bad here in Arizona... every few days a little bit
of rain, and highs of only around 65ºF ;-)

Sure rub it in.;-) You poor soul.
So I can't shake this bronchitis I've had since Thanksgiving. When I
told the nurses that what I needed was a few days of 100ºF+ and I'd be
cured, they grimaced. I asked if I was correct, they were "newbies".
Of course, they hadn't developed an appreciation for HOT ;-)

The heat doesn't really bother me, mind you at 100F it probably would.
As long as I have a cool place to sleep I'm fine. The central air
takes care of that. We've been getting summers with temps in the mid
to high 80's pretty regularly. I love it. Most people start bitching
once it gets up around 80 but not me.

Get those nurses to give you a nice long hot sponge bath;-)

People look at me funny when I go out wearing a tee shirt and shorts
in 40 degree weather. OTOH, I laugh at them for wearing a winter coat,
gloves and a hat when it's 65 degrees outside. :)

People look at me funny when I go out wearing a T-shirt and shorts, period. ;-)
