Optima XM6 alarm problem

I have a problem with my alarm

I had a power cut last night and it seems to have rendered the syste
unresponsive.
I'm getting a power on light but no response from key pad or any othe
light.
The power light goes out when I take out the spur fuse so I assume tha
the back up battery is dead. I can replace that but what about the no
responsive keypa

First try removing the backup battery AND power entirely for a couple
minutes. It may just be in a strange state.

Replace the backup battery with the power off, then restore mains.

The alarm may come up in the default 'alarm' mode - if so and your code
doesn't work, the default factory preset code is 0123.
