I am wondering nickel cadmium battery havebeen more than fourty years
in the market,Can any person know the reason,why are they still build
for 1.2 volt.it is inconvenient to use in a 6 volt circuit.

try out a potato battery. at .5V per cell a 12 pack should give you 6 volts

The voltage is fixed by the electro-chemical properties of the
elements used. The only way it can be changed is by coming up with a
new battery based in different chemistry.
