Howdy folks
I am studying electronics engineering at college, although I have had many
years experience in point to point wiring.
I am new to pcb design etc, I want to design my own pcbs and either make or
get someone else make the boards for me. Does any company make software such
as orcad etc and have academic pricing?????
What do I need to get started? Remember I am a new at this no! flaming
please.
Thanks in advance.

Find what software your college uses and see if they have an arrangement
allowing you to have your own copy of it. Failing that, free demo versions
of many packages are available allowing limited size designs which are often
adequate for student use. Or, you could buy a low-cost package like Easy-PC
for yourself (http://www.numberone.com).
