Need DataSheet for X25783 (probably a VR)

The part I have is most likely a voltage regulator, but I'm not sure. It has stamped on it

X25783 and below that says Mex K8. I need a data sheet for it, or cross reference for a part

equivalent. I included a picture of it. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

You fail to mention what it comes out of, but Google comes to the resque as usual - revealing that it's a triac. Just about any mains rated triac you can get will replace it.
