Anyone know of a good freeware (or inexpensive) circuit simulator that
supports a drag-and-drop WYSIWYG interface? I really like the looks of
Circuit Maker 2000, but I seem to be short a thousand dollars.

Have a look at www.ansoft.com and see if their product line can fill the
bill. They have some quite capable (not cripple ware) student versions
that are free. Sincerely,

There is also a free student version of a package called "PSCAD".
