I want to make a simple LED light system for my vehicle, I have a Jap import vehicle which has a modified management system, I wont get into it but I have a device which switches the timing of the camshafts, This is done by Earthing the Solenoids which activates them.

Now what i want to do is have 2x Bi-Polar LED's, I want them to show Red when the cams are on the low lobe, but when an Earth feed is applied somewhere in the circut, i want each LED to turn green, I plan on getting some stuff for it in the next few days and have it made up.

Can you make a simple diagram of your system, showing the existing parts, voltage source etc?

If the solenoids are fairly thirsty and 10 or 20mA for the leds will not make a difference, then the attached should work.
