Hey everybody! Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I'm getting back into electronics after over ten years, so I don't remember all of this so well.

I'm playing with an Arduino to play catch up, and it has a plug for a 9V battery pack. I found a AC adapter from a random electronic gizmo that I think I can use in the battery's place, but I wanted to make sure.

It's rated at 9v, 150mA. My question is... how do I know that this adapter will supply enough current? The battery, of course, is rated in mAh, so I couldn't find what kind of current it can supply when it's plugged in.

Can anyone explain?

Thanks again!

It depends what you're doing, but if it's just the Arduino and some low power stuff, 150mA is heaps.

It might be instructive to measure the current.

See here.
