Are these buzzers just like the ones found in a smoke detector?

Hello! I was hoping to find out if anyone has any experience with these types of buzzers and if they are as loud at beeping as a smoke detector is? Do they produce a buzzing noise, or more of a beeping noise? Thank you!

I am not sure about that type, but if you want something loud, the sound bombs work very well.
Have a look here. They are cheaper too.

Thanks guys! I'll post some photos of the alarms I salvaged from some smoke detectors. They have a ground wire unlike most other alarms I've seen on the internet.
