I have a Zenith C32A26 which has a video input problem. When using
either the front or rear Composite input on occasion the video will
blank for a milliseceond and the small upper corner input window will
appear as if it lost the video signal. This only happens rarely and
since the set was new. I had originally thought it was a poor signal
from my VCR but even a new and a third VCR and DVD player also does it
on front and rear jacks. I tried new and high end video cables but to no
avail. The set is now out of warranty.
One question is are there any settings in the menu to increase the gain
or change the setting for the for the video inputs detection or
something to that nature.

Thank for any help

I would not think it to be a gain problem. There is no adjustment for video
gain, as such. There may be a cold solder in the video section, or control
circuits, or some component is on the edge of failing. You would have to
have the fault check out by a tech who is experienced with your make and
model of set. You should bring the set in if it is under warranty, and let
them fix it. If the warranty ran out, then this will be a bit costly to
service.

The manufacture name of your set is very well known for problems. If you
trade the set in, stick with the better name brands, such as Sony,
Panasonic, Hitachi, and JVC.
