I have a motorized lift to raise and lower a pop up camper. The up/down switch connected via a cord to a socket. The socket connection wore out so I cut out the socket. The wiring from the motor includes a black ground, red, orange and blue wires. I tried to use the existing six blade rocker switch, however, I could not get it to work.

I do have a workaround with a 3 blade rocker switch. It works this way...

To Raise:

Black and Orange connected to ground blade

Red connected to power blade

Blue connected to bottom blade.

To Lower:

Black and Blue connected to ground blade

Red connected to power blade

Orange connected to bottom blade

How can I wire this to a single up/down switch?

Like so.
You need 3 posn toggle, with centre off.
Presuming a DC motor.

So my orange and blue would be the the black and red running from m1 to the center posts, correct?

Thanks for your help Minder!

If orange and blue are the motor wires.
It would help to identify the actual source of the conductors and their colours. Power supply and motor.

Yes, I have the red power from the battery, the ground and orange/blue coming from motor.

Then the #2 should work, incidentally you can also wire it with the Battery pair and the Motor connection pair transposed and it will still work.
