Hi!

My USB wire of my keyboard has 5 wires:

color: connected to on the circuitboard:

black DRAIN
red V
yellow G
white D
green C

I'm guessing that red is +5 volts, black is 0 volts, green is Data + and white is Data - but what is yellow for?
I saw on the internet that most usb's have 4 wires: red, black, white and green.

Hoping to find an answer.

A 5 wire USB is On-The-Go standard (OTG) used alot on keyboards. The yellow wire is used for ID. Here is a picture of the pinout.

If I wanted to connect a longer usb cable, where would the ID wire be connected to, if the usb cable has 4 wires?

Is this a standard USB keyboard, or one with some kind of USB Micro plug? If it's a normal one I don't think the yellow wire is actually connected on the other end, or it's pulled to ground.
