Hi Friends,

I am trying to wire an electrical circuit as follows and need some help:

1) I have 2 switches (SPDT) in different locations away from each other.

2) I have a 240V fan (35W) and a 240V pump (600W) that I need to control the power for.

3) I want to turn ONLY the pump on with the 1st switch.

4) I want to turn BOTH the pump and the fan on from the 2nd switch.

Can I get some help with this circuit design? I think I may need to add a 240V relay to make this work which is ok :)

Yes, a 240V relay would do the trick.

The first switch turns on the pump. In parallel with the switch you wire the normally open contacts of the relay.

The second switch would turn on the fan. In parallel with the fan you place the coil of the 240V relay.
