Of late when I click "submit" i get the error message about not not posting within 30 seconds of a previous post. Obviously the entry was "double entered" as if I had hit the submit button twice, and "cancelling" and returning to the thread reveals my post was in fact accepted.

Sadly I don't remember the solution, but this was a bug in some versions of v-bull. The 30-Second rule effectively resolves the issue, but there is a better answer, I just don't know what it is.

Feel free to delete this thread.

Thanks for the heads up - I guess it may have been an accidental double click, but as the first post went through there was no loss of data. I could reduce the double-post timeout to zero, but it does a good job of keeping any spammers at bay that get though the filters.

30 seconds is fine. Even if I type LMGTFY, it takes more than 30 seconds to figure out what the message is about and to prepare the response.

If people post more often than once every 30 seconds, they can't have a lot to say.

Still, the occasional exact dupe that I remove is evidence that some people are seeing this message, waiting another 30 seconds and re-posting. The issue is really why they get the double-post thing in the first place.

And I just tried double-clicking the "post quick reply" button. That's not it.

I was NOT suggesting you eliminate the 30 second rule! Only that there is another setting that catches this. It REALLY is not a big deal, and since I started this thread it hasn't happened a single time, LOL. But it did happen about 50% of the time over several days. I will pay closer attention to when it does happen to see if I can determine a repeatable cause.

Again, don't sweat the little stuff, I just thought I would mention it.

No this has happened to me on every one of my posts on here to date, about 2 weeks, I just thought it was part of the charm.

Ah, ok, I use chromium, but that does have it's little quirks any annoying problems and I jump onto chrome which is where I am now to see if this happens again.
