I have the need for a high current 50Vdc supply (20amp), to maximise rx
when the power is not needed will the supply handle being switched off
and on regularily when being used ?
Anyone have a clean schematic and any salient words as the cost of a
good transformer is quite prohibitive so a switch mode might be a solution
    Tnx in advance

AFAIK telecoms gear mostly uses 48V, so you might be able to get a ready
made PSU off the shelf and tweak it up a couple of volts - or better yet,
    cheap surplus gear.

Exactly what I need but where . very little on ebay , I could run two
units at 1kw each I guess
Of course if I had a suitable tranny making one might be an option but
    switch mode has appeal
