Source for small photocells?

I am looking for small "bare" (i.e., part of an array) photocells
for a low power gadget that needs to sit outdoors and do its job off
the grid. It will be necessary to string a few in series to get
enough voltage, but I hope we can get by with a fairly small area--
hence the "small" requirement. This thing will be in its own
transparent enclosure, so encapsulation is not necessary.

Depending on your needs, you might look into using a BEAM circuit
instead of using multiple panels. See <http://www.solarbotics.net/> or
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BEAM_robotics> for information on BEAM,
and <http://www.solarbotics.com/> or
<http://www.herbach.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=HAR&
Category_Code=SED> (and possibly many other places) for hobbyist solar
panels.
