Sony CX350 CD Changer

When my Sony CX350 Changer CD carousel stopped rotating I discovered that a belt had come off of the pulley. There appears to be three different belts and I want to replace them all. Are they all the same size and part #? Thanks.

Only the service manual could answer that for sure

Have you tried google for a service manual for your player model number ?

Unless anyone on here has experience with that specific model, chances are they will need to do some digging around to find a service manual. It's that or requesting images to help diagnose.

It may be worth digging around yourself first to see if anyone else has run into that same problem

I found the service manual on http://www.elektrotanya.com. This is an excellent site for finding service manuals and technical information.

Page 63 shows one belt, reference 159, part number 4-219-326-01, description "BELT (DIA. 42X1.2)".

Page 64 shows two belts, reference 206, part number 4-216-061-01, description "BELT".

So it looks like there are three belts in the unit, and two of them are the same but the third one is different.

OK I have moved this thread to electronics repair
a more suitable location

I have also done some editing on Steve's big sticky on parts and manuals resources that I linked to in my last post
Hope you don't mind Steve
I think I have it all in alphabetical order

component datasheet sites are first
and service manuals are down the list towards the bottom

Well it seems to be a well kept secret: the 2 belts with part number 4-216-061-01 are 48mm in diameter and 1.4mm square section. Maybe with this information the next one reading this thread will be able to find some replacement whitout the need to buy the original sony spare parts.
