sony crf-v21 shortwave radio

JUst aquired this radio and need a little help. It powers up for a sec
or two then powers down. Similiar to a weak battery. Anyone know
someone that repairs these?

even does it with the ac adapter...everything starts up dim the the
radio gradually shuts off. If you turn up the volume it will shut off
the radio. The radio has not been powered up in a few years. I'm
thinking that it is mostly dirty contacts inside the radio.

any thoughts?

If you are stuck with this, and do not know anyone that is knowledgeable for
this type of radio, you can get in touch with Sony directly. They can advise
you about their authorized service rep.

Your problem can be anything from bad contacts, cold solder connections, and
or a few defective components. Your description is too vague to take any
guesses, especially over an email.

hi there \
i also have a sony crf v21 to repair
same problem as everyone else powers up them shuts down after 3 sec
i live in amsterdam
