simple rc timer circuit needed please

hi all,
i am obviously a bit of a beginner - although i do know some things - components, basic circuit theory etc.. but what i am looking for is a basic RC timer circuit where it functions like this - you turn a switch 'on' and some amount of seconds later an led comes 'on'. - thats it! but does such a simple rc circuit configuration exist?

Does the time need to be adjustable?
How accurate does the delay need to be?
How much current does the LED draw?
