Does anybody know what kind of sensor are this (picture) and for where they can be used? thank you in advance guys ..

looks like an optical sensor pair ... a LED and a photo diode or transistor

why are you hiding the rest of it ?

Could be a retro-reflective sensor, although they are a little far apart than normal?
