Searching for Linear Capacitive Multi Touch Sensor

I am on the hunt for a capacitive multi touch sensor about 5 or 6 inches long. The perfect form factor would be similar to a soft pot like this. Ideally the component could be mounted under thing plastic or glass.

Please let me know if you have heard of something similar or have some solution to achieve a similar effect!

Yes they are resistive (good new for your french skills ) but as the OP linked component is.
It's the same product as sold by microcontrollershop.com/ but with the requested lenght.

edit: OK must be under a plastic sheet, yep resistive will not work
