This is one to watch. It works with GnuPlot. I was getting pissed at
the Tcl/Tk interface to SciLab (which is nice) when I found it.
Figure that wxWindows (wxWidgets) and wxPython make cross platform
C/C++ and Python apps trivial. wxGlade generates GUIs for both in
XML - also pretty trivial.
SciPy writes MATLAB files, too.
So maybe while I wait for SciPy to evolve, I can write wxWindows C++
or python GUIs that invoke the SciLab engine. I thought that out
loud in case anyone's interested in a path of least resistance.
Question...

See Lena? She's the same girl in C++ Algorithms for Digital Signal
Processing, 2nd Ed., Embree * Danieli
Does anyone know the history of this girls picture? Is she some kind
of groupie that coders use for their pubs? She's certainly
photogenic. Can I use her? Does she shoot pool?
Nothing like free girls... open source... open... arms? Yeah.
