Hello !
Today i got my hands on a Philips HST335W/12 home cinema unit. The problem is that no sound comes out from the wired speakers. there is a supply line running from the PSU to the speaker board that is marked as 39VDC while the voltometer only reads 3.something VDC.
I have checked most rectifiers and capacitors as well as transistors and appear to be good. Could it be a bad PWM controller (KA7500C) ?
I think the switching transformer that feeds the rectifier and the output is ok because if it blown i wouldnt be getting any voltage right ?
In the picture you see the 39VDC output in red box and the PWM controller in the yellow box.
