Proton model 320 clock radio

Hi all.....This radio dont turn off! When off button is pressed down it shuts off, but is spring loaded, and when it pops back up..radio come back on. I cleaned switches with 'gold' cleaner....no help. Anyone with experience on this...thanks AL
