Hi, I am new here, I'm hoping I can get some help with building a little power supply.
It is a NEEWER CN-160 Patent LED VIDEO LIGHT (with 160 individual LED LIGHTS).
This runs on 6 AA Batteries, but I want to make it able to plug in to use a wall outlet.
These are the specs:

Specification:
Input: DC 7.2V~8.4V
Maximum Power: 9.6 Watt
Color Temperature: 5400K (3200k w/filter)
Average Service Life: 50000 hours
Luminous flux: 660 lumens
Runtime: 70-90mins
Video light size: 141mm x 62mm x 150mm
Gross Weight: 430g (without battery)

What do I need for parts and values? and what schematic could I use?
Thanks so much!

Get a plugpack (wall wart) rated at between 7.2 and 8.4V and at least 1.5A and you should be right.

thanks Steve, that's probably the best Idea, but I just want the experience of building it also. I have a workbench and all the tools.

Greg, please forgive me. The way I said that clearly lacked even a modicum of tact.
