Hi all,

I am trying to find the easiest way to measure the power consumption from the following 3.5" lcd screen, I have seen claims of 0.7W and also claims of 2W, so I am trying to find out for myself.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/inch-Digital-Rear-Monitor-Square/dp/B0056WJP1M

I have a multimeter and probes, but not sure if I can measure this easily with what I have. I would really appreciate some help.

Thanks.

The specification in the ad say:

Power Consumption:0.53W

To measure, simply place an Ammeter in line with the +12V power input, and measure the current when operating. The current * 12 is the power consumption.

Can I do this without a "benchtop" power supply, i.e. I have a 12v power supply for the unit which runs from the mains wall socket. Really would appreciate some help on if this is possible and how I can do this.

Thanks
