Our Panasonic CT-20G5B has been out of focus since it was new. I have
looked for an opening in the case for a diddle stick to enable me to
focus it, but I cannot find one. Anybody know if it has one, and if so,
where it is?

I cannot remember exactly for your model. I would suggest that the focus
control should be located on the rear or side of the flyback transformer. In
some sets it is on the CRT board.

When you open the rear cover, you should look in these two mentioned places.
It is best to use an insulated nylon tipped adjuster tool that is made for
this type of job, for setting these pots. If you use a metal tipped tool you
will have to be extremely careful.

This type of adjustment is done with the set running. I use a grating
pattern from a test generator for doing focus and convergence set-ups.

If you short something, you will have to have an expensive repair done.
There are also serious safety issues when venturing in to a set without the
proper training. If you are not confident to do this type of setup, I would
suggest to bring the set over to a service centre, and give them the few
dollars to do this for you.
