Someone gave me an old, and by the looks, well used Tektronix 475A
oscilloscope. No manual, or leads/probes. Seems to work. Turns on and the
dot-line traces across the screen. Where might I find leads for it? Do these
tend to be generic or highly proprietary/specialized?

I have one too. Very nice old analog scope. You can often get probes on
ebay. Alternately, you can get probesets for cheap from
www.probemaster.com. For example:
