Ressurected an RCA ColorTrak2000 model# PMR 450K big screen (42" screen), it
was made in '86. believe it or not, its still in magnificent shape, great
picture, little use. Now on these models, theres a kind of a plastic
"diffraction" screen on the front of it, this one had an unfortunate
accident and has a crack in it, now realizing its old as hell, is there
still a possibility of finding another plastic screen for the front of it???
the RCA part number is 3771725.
This TV has a great picture on it and I think its worth trying to replace
this screen,
TIA!!!

Did you call any of the parts suppliers for RCA, or RCA themselves?
Sometimes you would be surprised what they would have in stock.

I think you mean "lenticular screen" I googled a little:

#10 My son scratched my rear projection TV's screen:

Sorry, but in this case the only way to get rid of the scratches is to replace
the Lenticular Screen. Scratches will never come out on these sets. Try
calling Tritronics 800-365-8030 for a quote on the screen with shipping costs.
Then you may need the service manual for installation instructions.

remember that word.....so tritronics may have this eh?
and that was going to be my next question "How in the world am I going to
get that off of there?"

If you're talking about removing the screen, you need to loosen (not remove)
the captive screws on the top edge of the TV at the REAR. There may be one or
three. Anyway, loosen the screw, and pull the front top edge away from the TV
and remove. The screen assy now slides upward with a good pull. The tape
holding the two piece screen together may also be causing the screen assy to
stick in the track runners, so rocking the screen in the tracks while lifting
up will free it.

after removing the screen, measure it and call every TV repair shop in your
area to see if anybody has a pull either the same dimensions or larger from a
junker set. I usually save the screens from TV's I scrap (I have several now),
I would assume others do likewise...

Repost the model number (I can't retrieve the beginning of the thread without
searching). IIRC, the original part number you posted was 7 digits, not 6
which is what RCA always used. I can get you the correct part number with the
model number.
