be the best choice for reliability?

The voltage has very little to do with reliability. In 99 percent of
the cases of failure, the bearings go bad or the lubrication dries out. Try to
find a ball bearing fan if you need reliability.

We use equipment fans quite a lot and find that the cause of failure
these days is often not the ball races, it is the thrust bearing. It
is particularly noticeable on AC fans, where the axial magnetic pull
on the rotor is very strong. We also get more failures on fans that
are mounted to blow upwards. Perhaps that is a mounting attitude
that puts most wear on the thrust bearing.
