I got a Hitachi tv model 26AX10BC in for repair (Chassis M1CLUX-H) which
suffers from vertical jitter and foldover at startup

when warming up the problem becomes less severe but still present...

I`ve changed so far all the electrolytics around the vertical IC and also
changed the IC to no avail...

ESR`ed (word?) most if not all of the caps in the tv and replaced doubtful
ones, also checked D752 D753 as per other tech`s instructions...

I am lost!!!

Have you checked the "quality" of the power supply voltages to the
deflection circuits and of the sync signals. Obviously it is thermally
related so a bit of diligence with "Freeze Spray" may help. If the supplies
are noisy, with evidence of poor filtering, or if the sync - drive signals
are distorted when cold may affect the symptom. Strange but we have even
encountered regulators that change a bit during the first few minutes after
power up.

Is it an overseas model?
