Goodmans Record Player in case

Goodmans Record player Fault , Power in and turntable turns but no sound out on either the built in speakers or headphones, also have line in no sound from that either . Think it might have wrong power supply as its Record player marked 5v dc but power supply was 12v dc. If somthing is blown what should I look for in the circuit that might have been taken out.............................................................00000 Thank you for any help

Goodmans Bluetooth Turntable: Model No 347753 as I didnt buy it, I would say it about 2021-2023

It's a designated 5V (1A) unit that looks to have a single main controller IC for audio processing and bluetooth operation etc. These devices rarely survive a 12V input as the main IC is easily damaged by over voltage. You'd get away with 6V or even 7V but 12V will kill it dead.

Do you have the ability to desolder and solder fine pitched surface mount components?
Do you have a 5 volt supply?
Is this your phono cartridge or pick up head for the turntable?

If it's for the bin I would give it a go at trying to fix it ,no harm done in my part.

If it is a common AC to DC power supply like below photos make sure polarity of the connector is correct or you can take a multimeter and check.
Switch it to Bluetooth see if the little light comes on.

Are you sure it's 16 pins?
Because of the 204.1 could be a Wi-Fi RF switch . I switch (no pun intended) from a stupid portable phone which I hate to a computer screen which I hate even more... but I can see now. Could you take a panoramic photo where they came out of the support circuitry is what I am interested in.
I mean no offense I'm asking this because I don't know. Would you happen to know how to use a multimeter because I'm pretty sure other sections of the circuitry are in parallel with the power supply we need to find the power bus and follow that; more things may have went poof! A multimeter is a good tool for further investigation.

This looks to me like a metal enclosure like a tin can with a popped lid.
It is why I asked for another photo. I was just thinking out loud. But that could very well have been a mistake "that I do often!"

That knackered IC is an audio amp and potentially a Class-D type that runs on the main 5V rail supply. Before replacing it you could check that audio is being passed TO that device to ensure there's nothing else in the signal path that is dud.

Seems good, couple of pads a bit rough, would need a part number to proceed or where I could purchase a chip. Any ideas Thanks

Just an update found a replacement board complete I think I will go with that. I have learnt a little bit on this forum so Thanks for all the help. Cheers
