I have a generac 7500 exl . Generac says the distortion is 5% is 5%
safe for circuts, my voltage only swings 4 volts from 0 to full load

IEEE standards for a utility is +7 and -10% except for short periods of
time.......

Check the hertz and the voltage will be fine.
