I have a ceiling fan and it's powered by a dc motor. The transformer is located in the fan housing. Basically, I'd like to use a wall on/off/speed controller, but because the transformer is also located where the "brain" is, it is not possible to utilize a wall switch AND the remote. Would I be able to bypass the "brain" and insert another ac/dc transformer so that I can utilize ONLY a wall, on/off, sppeed controller?
