I wish to design a device that talks to a PC over one (1) USB cable but has
2 (two) separately addressable data streams of two different types.

Does the USB standard support this?

Logically, you can accomplish the same thing by getting a gadget that takes
one USB connect and makes it into 4 connections. Since this is routinely
done, the answer is YES.

It should work. A USB hub can multiplex a number of devices onto a
single USB bus. Your device would look like a hub with two USB devices
attached.
