Hi there Chaps,

I wondered if anyone could help me identify this component, I have had a search around which took ages and think it may be a MURATA piezoelectric ceramic resonator.

Not totally sure about this identification if anyone could confirm this, and also not sure the markings if this is the frequency or not. So if you know the frequency of this that would aid me alot.

Sorry about the picture quality as the circuit was covered with potting compound, this is the clearest pic I could get.

Many thanks

I also think it's a resonator, but I'd email that picture to MuRata, and ask them.

Does it have 3 electrical connections, or 6?

If it's 3, I would be very heavily leaning to ward it being a resonator.

Thanks for the reply's.

I'm sure it has 3 after testing the connections and looking at the data sheets for the products.

I think it may be a 10Mhz with the 100 stamped on the top but I dont know how to physically test it to check.

Cheers

Hi Dave,

Yes 4 terminal terminate on the board. There is continuity between each pair that is in line so presume they are just one connection pad. The two in the centre are both connected together which goes to common/earth/ground.

Cheers
