Component identification

G'day All Y'all, I have no background in electronics but I like to tinker. I hate being beaten by systems designed to be difficult, near impossible to repair or with a designed limited life.
I'm currently playing with an automobile Remote which has a built in immobiliser. This remote is designed so that once it is programmed or paired with a particular car, it can't be reprogrammed or paired with another car. I believe I have identified the component which prevents the reprogramming however, I don't know what it is.
Could someone please look at the photos attached and tell me what it is?

if you are referring to that raised square black thing .... that is an inductor and not responsible

the immobilisation will be done within the programming of the main chip .... the largest of those 2 chips that can be seen
